Open Access Policy

The Hammurabi Journal of Medical Sciences (HJMS) operates under a full open-access publishing policy, ensuring that all published articles are made immediately and freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers or access fees. This model facilitates broad dissemination of scientific knowledge and maximizes the global reach, visibility, and impact of published research.

To support editorial operations, peer review, production, and long-term digital preservation, HJMS may apply Article Processing Charges (APCs) upon acceptance of a manuscript. These fees may be covered by authors, their institutions, or funding bodies. The journal remains committed to equitable publishing practices and may grant APC waivers or reductions for authors from low-income countries or under justified special circumstances, in accordance with journal policy.
